America 250: Montgomery County Planning Workshop

Join Montgomery County and the Rural History Confederation on Tuesday, August 27, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm for a free, half-day workshop to discuss plans for the America 250 in 2026.
Speakers scheduled to date include:
- Andre Castillo, America250PA
- Eli Gilman, Montgomery County
- Kirsten Tallman, Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board
- Justin Clement, Pottsgrove Manor, Associator Battalions and Militia
- Bayard Miller, American Philosophical Society, on the Revolutionary City Project
- Lisa Minardi, Historic Trappe, Restoration of the Speaker's House
- Emily Sneff, Consulting Curator, "Window to Revolution: Pennsylvania Germans and the War for Independence"
These talks are followed by a lightning round of 3 minutes per organization to share updates on their plans for the America 250.
This workshop is open to all Montgomery County-based historic sites, museums, and municipal leaders. Right now, TWO persons per organization or municipality may register, at this time.
Lunch will be provided following the workshop.
There will be a display table for all organizations participating in the workshop to share their rack cards, brochures, calendars of events, etc.

All workshop attendees are invited for free tours of Historic Trappe's museums immediately following the workshop.
